Howdy and Happy Wednesday, ‘Fetti Fans!

It’s Wednesday and time for WEDNESDAY IN THE WORKS.

What is WEDNESDAY IN THE WORKS? It’s not really about one thing in particular, but rather “the works” of a stamped card or project.  Today we’re focusing on creating subtle texture and dimension using tone on tone cardstock …, but a variety of topics will be covered in this segment… from color combos to shaped cards to inspiration pieces to mixing and matching stamps and/or papers…and everything in between.

I love using white cardstock…even on top of white cardstock.  By doing this, I can create subtle texture and dimension.  Of course, you can do this using any color.  Here’s what I came up with using my favorite, white on white, with the new ARROW Confetti Cuts (and sentiment from CRUSHIN’)…

The scalloped edge was created using the new DOUBLE EDGE SCALLOP BORDER Confetti Cuts.  I cut it out from pattern paper because I did not want to use all solids and I like the subtle detail that it provides.

Detail shot, with a pop of (rose) red from the heart cut from the LOVE NOTE Confetti Cuts…

To create additional dimension, you can stack 3-4 of the same die cut on top of each other.  Here, I added white enamel dots for added texture and detail.
