Hello, Fetti Friends! It's Kelly here today and I'm excited to share this "hello" card that uses the Butterfly Blossoms stamp set . I used it on a project for the last Blog Hop colored in these blues and purples and I couldn't wait to color it again, but this time, I wanted to use it on a card!
To begin, I stamped the butterfly image and the floral image in black and then colored them with copic markers. Once that was done, I die cut them using the coordinating Butterfly Blossoms Confetti Cuts and set them aside. I die cut the Grid Stitched Tag Confetti Cuts out of Baby Blue cardstock and added a heat embossed sentiment on Midnight cardstock from the So Many Sentiments stamp set. I notched the end to give it some extra detail. The "hello" sentiment is die cut three times using the Hello/Thanks Word Duos dies and adhered together using liquid glue. I added it to the bottom of the embossed sentiment. I also added the extra floral piece to the top of the butterfly using foam squares to give it added dimension.
I created a top folding A2 cardbase from Baby Blue cardstock and added a white piece of cardstock that was die cut using the Circle of Hearts Cover Panel. I used foam squares to pop it up on the blue card base for some dimension. I also added a strip of purple polka dot paper from the Darling Dots 6 by 6 paper pad to the bottom portion of the card.
Once that was done, I was able to add the embellished tag to the card base. I chose to place it horizontally, which I don't think I have ever done, but I really like! Sometimes I feel like I get in a design rut, so just a simple change like this helps keep things fresh! Do you ever feel that way? I challenge use to switch something up that you always do to get a new look! Thanks for stopping by today!
