As I have mentioned, I was “thinking spring” when I designed these sets and this new set (and coordinating Confetti Cuts) is about as spring as it can get…eggs and chicks and bunnies, oh my!  And, don’t forget the Peeps!

Introducing CARTON CUTIES (which may just be my favorite RC set to date!)…

CartonCutiesProductGraphicSheet250

And, the coordinating CARTON CUTIES Confetti Cuts die set…

CartonCutiesConfettiCuts

My first project today is a tag that stars the darling chicks from the CARTON CUTIES set. I colored them with Copics and popped them into the cracked half egg (stamped and die cut).  The scallop edge on the top is cut from the DOUBLE EDGE SCALLOP BORDER Confetti Cuts and then cut again using the TAG ME Confetti Cuts die set.

HeyChickieTag

I knew exactly what I wanted to create with the “you’re good peeps” sentiment…a Peeps on a stick project!

CartonCutiesPeeps

Detail of the tag…

CartonCutiesPeepsTag

To create this sweet lil’ Peeps on a stick project I skewered 3 pink Peeps and then placed a (food safe) cello bag over them.  I tied the bag with pink gingham ribbon and added the small tag (cut from the TAG ME Confetti Cuts die set).  I embellished the tag with a banner die cut (cut from the *new* BEAUTIFUL BANNERS Confetti Cuts) stamped with the “you’re good peeps” sentiment and a bunny head head die cut (from the CARTON CUTIES Confetti Cuts die set).  Such a fun, cute and easy spring/Easter giftie!

. . . . .

Spring Break is just around the corner (it’s next week for us) and then we are in the home stretch of the school year, meaning it’s time to get that Teacher Appreciation and end of year giftie thinking cap on!  And, don’t forget those fun school days scrapbook pages, too!

Introducing, CLASS ACT

CAProductGraphicSheet250

And, the coordinating CLASS ACT Confetti Cuts die set…

ClassActConfettiCuts

When I design stamp sets and dies, I am not always just looking forward.  I want all of our products to be as compatible with each other as possible.  With that in mind, the rounded rectangle in the CLASS ACT Confetti Cuts die set was made to be able to fit inside the LOVE NOTE Confetti Cuts scalloped rectangle die cut, like shown on this card…

ClassAct2

ClassAct2_detail

To create the focal panel, I first cut two rounded rectangles…one from the pink polka dot paper and one from white cardstock.  I then cut the apple from the CLASS ACT Confetti Cuts die set from the pink polka dot paper.  I layered the 2 sheets on top of each other and then centered the sentiment, stamped in navy dye ink.  Next, I popped up the pink polka dots panel and added the leaf (remember that as the flame from Wednesday’s project?) and the linen thread.  That panel was then added to the scalloped rectangle panel and adhered to the card base with two TAG ME Confetti Cuts large tags cut from navy cardstock.  I think that these would be great to duplicate in different colors and give to teachers as card sets.

My final project I am sharing with you today is a card featuring the CLASS ACT stamp and Confetti Cuts sets, as well as the *new* OFFICE EDGES Confetti Cuts set that I revealed on Wednesday.  I really had a lot of fun creating this card!  I started by stamping and die cutting two “sheets” of notebook paper and then added the alphabet to one. I embellished those panels with the stamped and die cut apple.  The quotation mark pattern paper was die cut with the perforation line and notebook edge from the OFFICE EDGES set.  My final touches were adding the DOUBLE EDGE SCALLOP BORDER strip on the left and the enamel dots (can’t seem to put those things away!).

ClassAct1

The double lined tab stamp set was designed to hold each of the sentiments included in this set.  Here I embossed it, and the “You’re a Class Act” sentiment in white on black cardstock and then attached it by stapling…which just happened to coordinate with the entire theme of the card.

COUNTDOWN TO CONFETTI: PETALS ‘N POSIES AND BEAUTIFUL BANNERS

Spring may not be in the air, but it certainly is in mind.  Fresh flowers and outdoor fun are just what inspired the two sets that we are featuring today.

Introducing PETALS ‘N POSIES, a fresh and fun set that can be used over and over year round…

PetalsPosiesProductGraphicSheet250

And, the coordinating PETALS ‘N POSIES Confetti Cuts die set…

PetalsNPosiesConfettiCuts

This fabulous floral set pairs perfectly with our new BEAUTIFUL BANNERS set, too…

BeautifulBannersProductGraphicSheet250

And, its coordinating CONFETTI CUTS die set…

BeautifulBannersConfettiCuts

Both of these stamp sets and their coordinating Confetti Cuts are awesome on their own, but put them together and the possibilities are endless!

Here I combined them on a tag (TAG ME Confetti Cuts) attached to a gable box to give this giftie a punch of color and a great personal touch…

PnPGableBoxTag

PETALS ‘N POSIES contains different size and different pattern florals and floral elements that are fun to play mix ‘n match with to create a variety of looks.  As you can see, I layered the larger 5 petal flower with the smaller polka dot version of it (popped up with a glue dot).  I stamped and cut a couple of the leaf swags out and snipped them apart to create just the look I wanted.  The sentiment is also from the PETALS ‘N POSIES stamp set and I curved it a little to fit nicely with the curved banner stamp that is cut from its coordinating BEAUTIFUL BANNERS Confetti Cuts die…

PnPTag

. . . . .

My second project today is a card that features the PETALS ‘N POSIES stamp and coordinating Confetti Cuts die set, along with a die cut of one of the banners from the BEAUTIFUL BANNERS Confetti Cuts set.  I love to be able to use die cuts as elements, not just to go with the coordinating stamp (2x the amount of use!).  Here I used it to ground the group of flowers and leaves against the white scalloped rectangle (LOVE NOTE Confetti Cuts).

Sympathy

. . . . .

On the flip side, for this project I used the BEAUTIFUL BANNERS stamp set and coordinating Confetti Cuts set, but only used the PETALS ‘N POSIES Confetti Cuts set (again, loving that these can be used with or without the stamp set for double the use).  These die cuts were easily adorned with some white and clear sequins to give this monochromatic card a little bit of pizazz…

I’d love to tell that spring has sprung, but it really seems like the winter of “polar vortexes,” “thunder sleet” and “cobblestone ice” is holding on for a bit longer.  Here’s to wishing that those terms are all put to rest soon and that spring will actually, well, spring!  You’ll notice that a few of our March sets are spring themed, and I think of spring, I can’t help but think of bunnies.  Cute, fluffy and sweet…they were the perfect inspiration to our new QUIRKY CUTIES line.

Let me introduce to you, BEBE BUNNY who is spring at heart, but can easily be used for occasions throughout the year…

BeBeProductGraphicSheet250

. . . . .

My first project for today features darling BeBe Bunny on an everyday “hello” card, perfect for sending to a special someone just because.

BeBeCard

As you can see, she is facing to the left.  This is so she can be paired with her friend, FREIDA FOX, if you wanted to put the two together!  (Yes, those are the little things I think about!).

I’m really happy to be breaking out my Copics again for the Quirky Cuties line!  To get the gray color on her “fur,” I used my blender along with T1, T3 and T5.  Here’s a detail shot of the some of the coloring, as well as the tab die from our new Confetti Cuts set: OFFICE EDGES

BeBeCard_detail

Full reveal of the OFFICE EDGES Confetti Cuts:

OfficeEdgesConfettiCuts

This set features 5 dies that are the perfect element additions to your paper crafting creations.  You may be thinking, “What is that long skinny oval for?”  When you pair it with the large tab, you are able to make an envelope closure like shown on this card…

CardClosure

It’s SUPER simple to create this closure.  Here’s how I did it on this card…

I started with a panel of cardstock measuring 3.25″ x 10″.

Tutorial1

Tutorial2

Gate fold your card and then…

Tutorial4

Tutorial5

Open up your card before running it through your die-cutting system.

Tutorial6

Remove die and washi tape and this is the cut you will have.

Tutorial7

Tutorial8

Now, you can gate fold it once more and close.

Tutorial9

I embellished the top/left side of this card using pattern paper and a piece of white cardstock cut with the DOUBLE EDGE SCALLOP BORDER Confetti Cuts die.

Tutorial10

Again, the completed outside of the card with my daughter’s name stamped with letters from LIGHTHEARTED LETTERS onto the banner from the TAG ME Confetti Cuts set and paired with the heart from the LOVE NOTE Confetti Cuts set…

CardClosure

And, the inside featuring stamps from our newest KEY WORDS COLLECTION set: ALL ABOUT YOU stamped onto the scalloped rectangle LOVE NOTE Confetti Cuts. For a little extra detail, before I adhered the panel to the card base, I stamped the large dots from WHOLE LOTTA DOTS in white pigment ink on the base.

CardClosure_Open

(See those flames?  You’ll be seeing those again later this week. *wink*)

Introducing the set, ALL ABOUT YOU

YOUProductGraphicSheet250

As with all of our KEY WORDS COLLECTION sets, you can use the “key word” YOU to build sentiments like shown below.  This particular set also features the “second half” of a sentiment that you can use like shown or on the inside of a card.

MARCH SKETCH FOR YOU TO TRY

By admin
on March 01, 2014

Hello and Happy March, ‘Fetti Fans!

Looks like it’s gonna be “in like a lion” for March.  So much for spring, for now, at least (yes, I know it’s technically still winter).  There’s nothing like a beautiful (almost) spring day with freezing rain in the forecast…blech!  I know you East Coasters are getting it much worse…stay warm and safe.

. . . . .

As you know, I usually don’t blog on Saturdays…unless there is something special happening!  It’s the first, so it’s time for a new SKETCH FOR YOU TO TRY, and along with it, a chance to win!

Here’s the sketch.  As always, there are lots of opportunities to make it your own.  As long as the bones are there, it’s all good.

SFYTT10_Mar14

SFYTT NOTES TO KNOW:

There will be a new sketch posted on the Reverse Confetti blog on the 1st of each month.

The sketch link list will be open from the 1st until noon CST on the 14th. The sketch will be posted in the sidebar and you will be able to click on it to get to that month’s SFYTT post with the link list during this time.

Reverse Confetti stamps are required to win.  This is a way we get to thank our customers for using our stamps.  Anyone is welcome to play, though!

You may enter as many times as you wish.

There will be a winner each month and that person will receive a $20 gift certificate to the Reverse Confetti store and claim the title of ‘Fetti Fave. The winner of SFYTT will be posted on the Reverse Confetti blog on the 15th of each month.

WEEK IN REVERSE

By admin
on February 28, 2014

Howdy and TGIF, ‘Fetti Fans!

For those following our relocation…more of the same happening over here in the del Muro household…hurry up and wait.  Everyone needs a decision about this or that here and now, but on the flipside we are just sitting and waiting and trying to get ready to go.  I still have ants in my pants about not being able to pack up anything so I’m just sorting a few things and getting ready of the release…NEXT SATURDAY!  Getting inky has been able to take my mind off of the move a little…thank goodness!  More updates to come as the move date approaches (mid-March).  Until then, the focus is here…

FBCommentGraphic

. . . . .

Before we get to the WEEK IN REVERSE portion of this post, we need to get a drumroll going for this month’s COLOR CHALLENGE WINNER…

winner_color

Here’s Cathy’s card using the February colors: cranberry, light blue and gray along with the HAPPY HARBOR stamp set and TAG ME Confetti Cuts…

Cathy, please email info@reverseconfetti.com for your prize.

Thank you to everyone that played along.  The submissions were absolutely INCREDIBLE…as always.  It makes my heart swell to see all your Reverse Confetti creations!

It’s Friday and time for WEEK IN REVERSE, where we take a look back at what the most awesome design team, The Confetti Crew, has been up to this week.

Susan broke out her Copics and played with FREIDA FOX this week!  Isn’t she darling?  And, if you are wondering…we will soon be introducing you to a friend of hers!

I like card making, but I LOVE seeing Reverse Confetti stamps and Confetti Cuts dies being used in a variety of paper crafting project, like Leigh’s beautiful scrapbook page featuring SWEET THING and TAG ME Confetti Cuts.  You can also see Leigh on this week’s Confetti Camera post (Thursday, 2/27).

Another great ABC (anything but a card) project from Amber using SWEET TREAT TENT Confetti Cuts, TAG ME Confetti Cuts, SWEET THING and WHOLE LOTTA HEARTS.

Sarah says she’s on a tag making kick…I think I’ve been on one of those for the last few years! It’s easy with the TAG ME Confetti Cuts die set (and ARROW Confetti Cuts, too)!  Here she paired it with CRUSHIN’ and WHOLE LOTTA HEARTS for a very sweet giftie…

Pink+Orange+INNER ROCK STAR= awesome cards from Stacey and Heather!

Heather created part of her background with WHOLE LOTTA DOTS, too.

http://farm4.staticflickr.com/3748/12688465995_b8b63605d4_b.jpg

As proven above, great minds think alike.  I love all the positive energy coming from the PAPER CRANE set!  Lisa, Susan and Amy all inked it up this week for wonderfully creative and original designs…

Susan’s card also uses WHOLE LOTTA HEARTS and the TAG ME Confetti Cuts.

Amy also added the TAG ME Confetti Cuts to her creation.

Amber also used PAPER CRANE this week.  Her creation features on of the other sentiments and a very cool layout!

Amy K.’s card is a cool collection of a variety of Reverse Confetti products including the Christmas(!!) set, BRING ON THE MERRY, INNER ROCK STAR and TAG ME Confetti Cuts.

2.27.14

Amy S.’ GO TOGETHER card with those darling die cuts to match the oh-so-perfect sentiment makes me smile!

Val shares more than moolah on her blog.  You can check out her Pocket Tag tutorial using  HERE.  Such a fun card (and tag!) and she always WOWS me with how she combines her RC products.  On this card she used CRUSHIN’, ARROWS ‘N ELEMENTS, SWEET THING and TAG ME Confetti Cuts.

. . . . .

See you tomorrow with a new SKETCH FOR YOU TO TRY!

CONFETTI CAMERA

By admin
on February 27, 2014

It’s Thursday and time for CONFETTI CAMERA!

In this weekly segment, one of the Confetti Crew designers will have the camera on both themselves, as a designer, and on their Reverse Confetti creations. For this round, you’ll get a dose of Reverse Confetti inspiration from a fun tip or technique from each of our designers. A couple of things to note:

1) This segment will not “air” if there is a different post scheduled for that day, such on Sketch for You to Try on the 1st of each month or on a hop or sneak peek day.

2) Each designer will answer the same set of questions/show a tip until we have featured every Confetti Crew Design Team Member (then it’s a new round with new questions/theme). To see previous Confetti Camera post, simply click on “Confetti Camera” under the categories link on our sidebar.

Today the spotlight is on Confetti Crew member, LEIGH PENNER,

I love the feather image in the PEACOCK PRETTIES stamp set — it’s so fun & beautiful!

I was trying to figure out how I could “colour” it in so that the circle, the heart and the body of the feather were all different colours.

I decided to try doing this with some Pigment Pearls.

 Here’s what I did:

I stamped my feather onto some vellum with the Perfect Pearls medium.

Then, with a brush, I coloured in each section, using a different colour of pearls.

I decided to make a different feather and changed up the colouring slightly. I fussy cut them both out by hand.

Then, when assembled my card, I used the border stamp in the Peacock Pretties set and used the same technique to colour it in along the bottom of my card.

I just love how it shimmers in the light!

I stamped my sentiment (from PAPER CRANE), which ties everything together nicely.

WEDNESDAY IN THE WORKS

By admin
on February 26, 2014

Welcome to WEDNESDAY IN THE WORKS.

What is WEDNESDAY IN THE WORKS? It’s not really about one thing in particular, but rather “the works” of a stamped card or project.  A variety of topics will be covered in this segment… from color combos to shaped cards to inspiration pieces to mixing and matching stamps and/or papers…and everything in between.

As noted last week, a few of the Confetti Crew design team members will be guest blogging here.  Today, we welcome Lisa Henke to the Wednesday in the Works post.

Trends. They are a fun way to add some extra pizazz to your stamps and supplies. Especially simple, sentiments. I used three trends on my card today along with  the LOTS TO SAY stamp set.  I used two of the sentiments to create this custom thank you note.

rc-wed works thanks-2

I love that stencils and modeling paste (or embossing paste) are trending right now. I pulled out a dotty stencil to make a custom backdrop for my sentiment.

You’ll want to make sure to secure your stencil over top of your card stock and before swiping some Modeling Paste (you can find it in any craft or art store). I used an old credit card or gift card to apply my paste, an off-set spatula works great, too. For an extra bit of depth and interest, I did move my stencil just a little bit when I applied the paste to create the ghosting effect. Set this panel aside to dry.

I also love the angled panels I’ve been seeing on lots of cards across blog land. It adds great visual interest to any card. Cut a rectangle panel, angle it off the side and bottom (or top, depending on where you want the angle to be) of your card base and then use your trimmer to snip off the overhang.

The final trend so hot right now are sequins. They are just the sweetest little embellishments and with all the different color choices your options are endless. I used the Rule of Three on my card and added a trio of sequin clusters across  my card front.

I used the sentiment flag from TAG ME Confetti Cuts to pop up the ” just a note” stamp. Keeping the sentiment simple, really allows the trendy items to shine!

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you feel inspired to try one or all of these paper crafting trends.

TIME FOR A CARD TUESDAY

By admin
on February 25, 2014

Howdy, ‘Fetti Fans!

Boy, oh boy has it been a fun week so far…and it’s just Tuesday!  Monday was filled with crafty time with the upcoming release (March 8th) stamps/dies and then a little bit of retail therapy due to a Michael’s “25% off your entire purchase” order plopping itself in my inbox (how sweet is that!?).  I’m still a busy lil’ bee here prepping for the release and for the move.  On the moving side of things we are just in a holding pattern until the packers come.  I suppose I could do a little bit of organizing or sorting, but who wants to do that when there are new stamps and dies waiting to be played with!?!

. . . . .

Well, it’s Tuesday and that means it’s TIME FOR A CARD TUESDAY.  I realized that it had been a while since I inked up ARROWS ‘N ELEMENTS so that is what I reached for and I came up with this card that uses a combo of freestyle collage and clean and simple design styles…

OhHello

The large pink scallops are cut from our DOUBLE EDGE SCALLOP BORDER Confetti Cuts die.  I LOVE this die…or should I say “these dies?”  It’s really TWO DIES IN ONE.  You can choose to use the small or large scalloped edge on your projects.  OR…you can even fold down one side of the die cut to create a whole new design element!

I also used the large heart from the LOVE NOTE Confetti Cuts die set (which may be my favorite die set of ALL TIME <–yes, seriously!).

The “JUST SAYIN'” sentiment is stamped in VersaMark on the gray cardstock panel and then the “oh, hello” sentiment is stamped within the stripey rectangle that I popped up with dimensional adhesive.
