WEEK IN REVERSE

Hello and TGIF, ‘Fetti Fans!

I am definitely looking forward to this weekend!  The weather is supposed to be beautiful and I am excited to spend some quality time outside with the littles and my hubby.  I think I’ve convinced them to help me wash/clean out my car.  We’ll see if they are anywhere to be found when it comes time for that, though!

It’s a super special weekend at Reverse Confetti, too!  Sunday is our (monthly) blog hop and I promise you do not want to miss it!

CONFETTI CAMERA

TGI {almost} F, ‘Fetti Fans!

I had so much fun creating yesterday and will have lots to share in the weeks to come.  If you follow Reverse Confetti on Instagram, you saw live shots as it was happening.  Don’t follow us on Instagram?…we sure wish you would!  We’re just now getting active with it (a little behind the times, huh?), but you’ll see sneak peeks of projects, and product, along with day to day activities from yours truly.

Now for a little camera I created myself…

ConfettiCameraRCblog

Yep, it’s Thursday and time for CONFETTI CAMERA! {yay}

In this weekly segment, one of the Confetti Crew designers will have the camera on both themselves, as a designer, and on their Reverse Confetti creations. For this round, you’ll get a dose of Reverse Confetti inspiration from cards completed inside and out from each of our designers. A couple of things to note:

1) This segment will not “air” if there is a different post scheduled for that day, such as Sketch for You to Try on the 1st of each month or on a hop or sneak peek day.

2) Each designer will follow the same “theme” until we have featured every Confetti Crew Design Team Member (then it’s a new round with new questions/theme). To see previous Confetti Camera post, simply click on “Confetti Camera” under the categories link on our sidebar.

On camera today is the very talented, JEAN MANIS

JeanIntroPic

Hello, Fetti’ Fans! It’s Jean Manis bringing you this week’s Confetti Camera Challenge. I’m sharing a card created with the Here We Go stamp set and its coordinating Confetti Cuts for the In and Out theme. As the mother of two boys, I have always been on the lookout for cards featuring forms of transportation. To connect the outside and inside of the card, I created an air scene on the front and a below-the-water scene on the inside.

Confetti-Camera-JM

The Lots to Say sentiment set has the fun “Just a Note to Say…” sentiment, which I used for the outside, leading the recipient to open up the card to the “Happy Birthday.” In both cases, the sentiments were heat-embossed.

ConfettiCamera-Inside-JM

I used the Oh My Stars Confetti Cuts set to create the big star and the Stars Pretty Panels Confetti Cuts to create some small stars. I wanted to tie the outside in with the yellow submarine on the inside. I also wanted some color above the dark blue sea to set off the “Happy Birthday” sentiment.

The card base is a light blue. With the Double Edge Scallop Border I cut darker blue cardstock to resemble ocean waves.

Both the airplane and the submarine were attached to the card with dimensional adhesive for some depth.

Confetti Camera

Hello ‘Fetti Fans!

The (long) weekend is in view and we have a fantastic CONFETTI CAMERA for you today!

In this weekly segment, one of the Confetti Crew designers will have the camera on both themselves, as a designer, and on their Reverse Confetti creations. For this round, you’ll get a dose of Reverse Confetti inspiration from a fun tip or technique from each of our designers. A couple of things to note:

1) This segment will not “air” if there is a different post scheduled for that day, such on Sketch for You to Try on the 1st of each month or on a hop or sneak peek day.

2) Each designer will answer the same set of questions/show a tip until we have featured every Confetti Crew Design Team Member (then it’s a new round with new questions/theme). To see previous Confetti Camera post, simply click on “Confetti Camera” under the categories link on our sidebar.

3) For this round we are focusing on ABC (anything but a card) projects.  Keep your eyes peeled for some fabulous ways to use your Reverse Confetti stamps!

. . . . .

Today on Confetti Camera we have the oh-so-very talented, KATHY MARTIN

Hello ‘fetti fans! It’s Kathy Martin here today to share with you a project I’ve been wanting to make ever since I first saw the HERE WE GO stamp set and HERE WE GO Confetti Cuts. I think this collection is perfect for creating invitations, cupcake toppers, straws and decorations for a little one’s birthday party. Just imagine all you can do with these adorable stamps and dies! Banners, thank you notes and more!

140822-Straws-Tops

For this project I purchased some paper straws from the grocery store and attached the stamped and die cut pieces with a tiny glue dot. That’s it! For the display, I created a fun little tag with the TAG ME, TOO and CIRCLES ‘N SCALLOPS Confetti Cuts and attached it to a Ball jar with a pretty yellow grosgrain bow. To keep the straws standing up nicely I added a little rice to the bottom of the jar. Better yet, use some matching M&Ms! Have fun!
