Hey, hey ‘Fetti Fans and Happy Friday (and Super Bowl weekend).
Do you have fun plans for the game? I have to admit, we’re going to be duds and just hang out at home. I’m more interested in the commercials than the teams playing this year. I guess that’s just about every year though, but sometimes cheering occurs in between the commercials, too. My (8 year old) daughter is excited to see Katy Perry perform at half-time. I’m crossing my fingers for no wardrobe malfunctions, etc!
. . . . .
It’s Friday, so you know what that means…
Let’s take a peek back at what the Confetti Crew has been up to this week!
My, oh my, this week is flying by. I’ve spent a lot of time in the office this week doing the normal stuff…packing orders, fielding emails, putting together product graphics and info for upcoming releases (so much good stuff coming up!) and, to my delight, CREATING! It’s nice to get a little ahead so that I have time to do that! I’ll be sharing my projects that I have been working on over the next couple of weeks. Today, it’s time for…
In this weekly segment, one of the Confetti Crew designers will have the camera on both themselves, as a designer, and on their Reverse Confetti creations. For this round, you’ll get a dose of Reverse Confetti inspiration from cards completed inside and out from each of our designers. A couple of things to note:
1) This segment will not “air” if there is a different post scheduled for that day, such as Sketch for You to Try on the 1st of each month or on a hop or sneak peek day.
2) Each designer will follow the same “theme” until we have featured every Confetti Crew Design Team Member (then it’s a new round with new questions/theme). To see previous Confetti Camera post, simply click on “Confetti Camera” under the categories link on our sidebar.

On camera today is AMY SHEFFER. She’s wildly talented and I am happy to call her friend, as well!
. . . . .
Happy Thursday, ‘Fetti fans, it’s Amy here today, with a sweet floral and hearts card featuring some of the new January release goodies. I’m loving our Inside & Out theme! I imagine it’s kind of a let-down for a recipient to open a beautifully hand-crafted card, only to find a plain ol’ card base inside! And yet, I don’t decorate the insides nearly often enough. I’m hoping today’s card is the beginning of a new habit!
I absolutely adore the hand-written look of the sentiments in LOVE BLOOMS — so charming! I stamped my sentiment onto a TAG ME Confetti Cuts die-cut, then added lots of different hearts (die cut with the HEART TO HEART and PUPPY LOVE Confetti Cuts sets) as well as an ARROW Confetti Cuts die-cut. The large rounded rectangle from DOCUMENTED is a great background layer for TAG ME tags.
For the inside, I carried over the basic elements and theme of the outside: colors, hearts, and love. The hearts are stamped with images from HEART TO HEART and die-cut with the coordinating HEART TO HEART Confetti Cuts. The word “LOVE” is also from the HEART TO HEART stamp set. I arranged everything along the bottom, leaving plenty of room for a written message.
1. Our newsletter went out this morning…with a brand new exclusive “inspiration station” section. If you aren’t signed up for our weekly/release newsletter, you can do so HERE. Our newsletter also contains information about inventory updates, product spotlights and the occasional sale!
2. It’s time for…
I love jam-packing a post with the weekly creations from the Confetti Crew! Here’s what they have been up to this week…
I hope those of you that had a 3-day weekend thoroughly enjoyed it. I spent the weekend throwing a party for my “baby” that is now FIVE, working on new stamp and Confetti Cuts designs (oh.em.gee…you are going to love what we have designed/planned) and basking in the 70* sunshine that we were blessed with for the past couple of days. Oh…and I got a little bit of “create time” in, too! That’s what I call a pretty darn good weekend!
Well, it’s Tuesday so it’s time for TIME FOR A CARD TUESDAY!
Shaker cards are back in a big way! I remember creating these at my neighbors stamp camps just a *few* years ago and it’s exciting that the trend has come back around, especially with sequins being so hot, too!
To create the window, I used the large rounded rectangle panel from the new DOCUMENTED Confetti Cuts die set and one of the PRETTY PANELSthat I had on my desk. I simply put both of them on top of the gray heart paper and ran it through my Big Shot and viola…window!
The acetate and the backing that the sentiment (from LOVE BLOOMS) is on, are also cut from the large rounded rectangle from the DOCUMENTED Confetti Cuts die set.
On the top of the frame, I stamped and die cut flowers and leaves from LOVE BLOOMS with the coordinating LOVE BLOOMS Confetti Cuts. Don’t you love that color? It’s Papaya Cream pigment ink from ColorBox. It just looks perfect with these flowers!
As you can see, I used a variety of sizes and colors of sequins. These soft subtle tones play well off of the flowers and coordinate nicely with the other colors on the card. While we thought (and thought!) about bringing sequins into the Reverse Confetti product line-up, we ultimately decided to pass. I get all of my sequins from Pretty Pink Posh and Cartwright’s Sequins (they have a TON).
One last shot of all these pretty sequins…
. . . . .
That’s all for now! I have more stamp and Confetti Cuts designs to work on (squeeeeeel).
It’s hard to believe that just a week ago I was at CHA! If you are subscribe to the Reverse Confetti newsletter, be sure to check out the CHA re-cap with some pics of my favorite finds that is coming to your mailbox today. Although the show was slow, the inspiration and creativity was ripe for picking. I already have things in the works from how I was inspired. Stay tuned for more info on that! *wink*
. . . . .
