Hey, hey, ‘Fetti Fans!
Time for CONFETTI CAMERA…throwback style!
A little bit about Confetti Camera…
In this weekly segment, one of the Confetti Crew designers will have the camera on both themselves, as a designer, and on their Reverse Confetti creations. For this round, you’ll get a dose of Reverse Confetti inspiration from throwback projects from each of our designers. I have been stamping for a long time and I have seen things come and go and then come around. A primary example of this is shaker cards. We’re taking a look back to those “way back when” projects and breathing new life into them.
A couple of things to note:
1) This segment will not “air” if there is a different post scheduled for that day, such as Sketch for You to Try on the 1st of each month or on a hop or sneak peek day.
2) Each designer will follow the same theme until we have featured every Confetti Crew Design Team Member (then it’s a new round with new questions/theme). To see previous Confetti Camera post, simply click on “Confetti Camera” under the categories link on our sidebar.

Today on CONFETTI CAMERA, we have the sweet and oh so talented, AMY SHEFFER…
. . . . .
Hi ‘Fetti Fans! It’s Amy S. here today with my take on our “Everything Old Is New Again” theme. I went back to the beginning of my blog (2007-2008) to remind myself of some of the things that were trendy back then, and picked out the altered binder clip photo holder for today’s project. The binder clips are super simple to decorate, and make such cute little display stands!
I started by covering a jumbo binder clip with patterned paper from the Simple Stories I Am collection. Next, I accented with a white card stock scalloped border cut with the Double Edge Scallop Border Confetti Cuts die, some turquoise twine, and a layered felt flower die-cut with the Petals ’N’ Posies Confetti Cuts dies. I tied some black and white baker’s twine around the “arms” of the binder clip, then accented with wood veneer hearts.
Instead of displaying a photo, I created a motivational display piece. I stamped the quote, from Shine From Within, in pink ink onto a cobblestone pattern from the Simple Stories I Am collection, layered it onto some other complimentary patterns from the same collection, and accented with clear sequins, a vellum Double Banner Garland, a white linen thread bow and another wood veneer heart. The three layers of patterned paper are nice and snug in the binder clip, but since they’re not adhered, it’s super easy to swap this out for a photo (or a recipe card or a place card or whatever else you can dream up!).
That’s it for me today! I hope you’re inspired to breathe new life into something “old” too!
