Hello, ‘Fetti Fans and Happy Day Before Sneak Peeks Start!

Join us tomorrow as we kick off the party for our February release…

. . . . .

It’s Thursday and time for…

A little bit about Confetti Camera…

In this weekly (Thursday) segment, one of the Confetti Crew designers will have the camera on both themselves, as a designer, and on their Reverse Confetti creations.

For this round each of our designers are working on Celebrations!  However, there is a little something different…I have challenged them to forego birthdays and to “think outside the card.”  I think you are going to LOVE what you see!

A couple of things to note:

1) This segment will not “air” if there is a different post scheduled for that day, such as Sketch for You to Try on the 1st of each month or on a hop or sneak peek day.

2) Each designer will follow the same theme until we have featured every Confetti Crew Design Team Member (then it’s a new round with new questions/theme). To see previous Confetti Camera post, simply click on “Confetti Camera” under the categories link on our sidebar.

. . . . .

In the spotlight today is the sweet and talented, LAURIE SCHMIDLIN

Hi ‘Fetti fans! I’m excited to share with you what I came up with for the newest Confetti Camera theme, “Celebrate Good Times”! Even though the obvious birthday theme is off limits, I was still need some little gifties for my kids’ school Valentine’s Day party. I’ve been a part of our school’s Booster Club for a while and have gotten in the habit of giving gifts to each of the students and teachers. So naturally, I found this Confetti Camera theme perfect for me! Here is what I came up with…

Valentine's Giftie Ensemble

I started by covering these little 2″ boxes with some patterned paper to dress them up. I filled each of them up with some candy (of course) and a mini chapstick. To decorate them, I layered on a large and small heart (created with the Heart to Heart stamp set and coordinating Heart to Heart Confetti Cuts die set), a die cut arrow (from the Arrow Confetti Cuts), and the circular sentiment (from the Crushin’ stamp set).

For the teacher gift, I used many of the same elements as the little boxes but added a fun little notebook paper layer as well (created with the Class Act stamp set and coordinating Class Act Confetti Cuts die set).

I created the cute tote bag with the Tagged Tote Confetti Cuts die set. I filled this one with candy, suckers, and some matching red pens! 🙂

Hello ‘Fetti Fans and Happy Wednesday!

Today, we have a special WEDNESDAY IN THE WORKS brought to you by Confetti Crew Member, Amy Sheffer.

What is Wednesday in the Works?

It’s not really about one thing in particular, but rather “the works” of a stamped card or project.  It’s us taking a closer look at how something is created, etc.  A variety of topics will be covered in this segment… from color combos to shaped cards to inspiration pieces to mixing and matching stamps and/or papers…and everything in between.

Hi ‘Fetti Fans, it’s Amy here with a fun peek-a-boo tag for today’s Wednesday in the Works.

I started by filling a Frosted Pillow Box with some candy, then added a pretty tag that I die-cut with the Thanks Tag Confetti Cuts. Because the tag is nearly as large as the box, I decided to cut a window into the tag so that the contents would show through. Here’s what I did:

  1. Die-cut two tags using the Thanks Tag die, one from patterned paper and one from acetate.

  1. Die-cut one Globe from white card stock.

  1. Use the Globe die to cut a circle window in the patterned paper tag.

  1. In-lay the white Globe into the circle window and adhere, using the acetate Thanks Tag die-cut as a backer.

  1. Add a Hang Ups tag topper using a coordinating piece of patterned paper and a metallic gold grommet die-cut.

  1. Embellish with Leafy die-cuts and a metallic gold Lovey Words sentiment.

  1. I wrapped my Pillow Box with a coordinating patterned paper, making sure to cut a Globe opening in it as well.

  1. Note: the 6×6 patterned paper is just a smidge short to fully wrap the pillow box, so I just added some sparkly gold washi tape at the seam to hide the gap.

Thanks for joining me for this week’s Wednesday in the Works!

Hello, ‘Fetti Fans…

It’s here, it’s here!  Our Special Release is here!  No sneak peeks this time around. Just one big party today to celebrate these 3 new products into the Reverse Confetti line-up.  And, YES, the products are in the store now!

As I noted in the post announcing this release, this was not planned as a special release originally.  In the pursuit of getting these products into our shop, we ran into a couple of snags and things got pushed back.  Finally, things were just perfect…except it was too late to include these in the January release. But they’re just too cute to wait for the February release (they are so perfect for Valentine’s Day). So, here we are today with a special release and some special friends to help us celebrate, too!

Also, I’ll be doing a Periscope a little later today to introduce these products LIVE.

. . . . .

Just like the kick off to any other release, this post is a little longer than the norm.  Grab that cuppa, sit back and enjoy all the Confetti Creativity we have for you today!

. . . . .

We are introducing THREE new products to the Reverse Confetti product line up and I know that you are going to just LOVE them!

Let’s get this party started!

( exclusive)

As you can see on the top of the IN THE BAG graphic, this Confetti Cuts die set comes with 6 CLEAR TOTE BAGS.  These 2 products are made to work together.  The IN THE BAG Confetti Cuts die set contains a large die that cuts out a piece that goes into the bottom of the CLEAR TOTE BAG.  In addition, there is a long tag with 2 coordinating detail elements.

( exclusive)

As noted above, six of the CLEAR TOTE BAGS come with the IN THE BAG Confetti Cuts die set.  Additional sets of six are also available for purchase.

These bags are very high quality thick clear plastic and are not flimsy at all (read: these are not cello bags!).  I fell in love with these the moment that I received my first sample and knew that I had to put them in the store…with a cute Confetti Cuts die set, of course!

And, our third and final product introduction for today…

You may be looking at this and saying, “That does not look like a bow.”  You’re right!  The die itself does not look like a bow because this set allows you to create a more detailed (layered) bow.  There’s a little photo how to a little further in this post.

. . . . .

So, how does this all come together?

Check it out…

For this project, I first cut the IN THE BAG Confetti Cuts (base) from aqua patterned paper…

The perforation lines are where you fold the paper.  To create the “backer” piece, simply cut a piece of cardstock or patterned paper to 3 7/8″ x 5 7/8″ (shown in picture below with orange cardstock).

Adhere the backer piece to the IN THE BAG piece and insert into CLEAR TOTE BAG.  Note: I add a couple of strips of double sided tape so that it will adhere to the bottom of the bag.

In this bag, I included darling little fox page markers that I found at Target, a Post-It pad and pen (all in coordinating colors, of course!).

Here is how the LAYERED BOW was created:

Cut pieces as shown…

Fold over the tips of the bow and adhere (glue works best)…

Cut pieces as shown from a coordinating piece of paper and then using the detail pieces, cut out the centers of each piece (shown below)…

Note, you can do both sides of the bow.  I have chosen not to do the back side on this one.

Layer the patterned pieces over the orange pieces to create this bow…

Note: I chose to go with the button tied off with CAPPUCCINO Twine instead of the orange cardstock circle as shown cut in the picture above.

I adhered the bow to the bag, just beneath the flap with a tiny dot of hot glue.

One more detail shot…

. . . . .

I went just a little wild creating projects with these new products.  These all came together super quick and my list of ideas was seemingly endless.  Here are a couple of the other CLEAR TOTE BAGS I created along with (and without) the new IN THE BAG and LAYERED BOW Confetti Cuts die sets…

This one uses the same double sided patterned paper for both the IN THE BAG cut and the backer.

Back side (which can easily be embellished with a sweet note, stamped sentiment, etc.)…

Inside are some little baby socks.  This tote held 6 pairs of socks perfectly.  Such a sweet and fun gift for a new mom…

I wrapped this CLEAR TOTE BAG with light blue grosgrain ribbon and attached the tag (from the IN THE BAG Confetti Cuts die set) with NATURAL Twine.  Sentiment created using the FANCY WORDS Confetti Cuts die set and FANCY WORD COORDINATES stamp set…

. . . . .

Remember how I mentioned that these were absolutely perfect for Valentine’s Day?…

For this tote, I cut Valentine’s themed paper with the IN THE BAG Confetti Cuts die and then used pink cardstock as the backer.  I filled the tote with some super yummy chocolates and topped it off with a LAYERED BOW created from felt…that doubles as a hair bow!

Detail of felt bow…
