CONFETTI CAMERA

Hello ‘Fetti Fans!

Time for another great CONFETTI CAMERA today!

ConfettiCameraRCblog

In this weekly segment, one of the Confetti Crew designers will have the camera on both themselves, as a designer, and on their Reverse Confetti creations. For this round, you’ll get a dose of Reverse Confetti inspiration from cards completed inside and out from each of our designers. A couple of things to note:

1) This segment will not “air” if there is a different post scheduled for that day, such as Sketch for You to Try on the 1st of each month or on a hop or sneak peek day.

2) Each designer will follow the same “theme” until we have featured every Confetti Crew Design Team Member (then it’s a new round with new questions/theme). To see previous Confetti Camera post, simply click on “Confetti Camera” under the categories link on our sidebar.

Today on Confetti Camera is the so very talented and sweet, AMY KOLLING

AmyKIntroPic

. . . . .

Hello Fetti’ Friends!  Amy Kolling here bringing you this week’s Confetti Camera which is all about “inside and out”.  I’ve used one of my favorite dies……the TRIPLE CHEVIES Confetti Cuts die to make a love masculine card.  This die is perfect to add that graphic feel for a guy card.  I’ve used the die to cut out 3 colors of cardstock including gold.  I’ve lined these up on the front of a panel of clear cardstock to make it something different!  I simply scored a piece of clear cardstock at 5.5″, folded, and trimmed off the extra.  This “fold” is what I sandwiched between 2 pieces of white cardstock to make things look polished.  My sentiment (from LOTS TO SAY) was stamped on a white Chevie die cut in black ink and was added to the front with foam adhesive.  I added one little red heart (from the LOVE NOTE Confetti Cuts die set)…..

Confetti Camera Outside

For my inside, I carried over the same colors and used another sentiment from LOTS TO SAY along with a row of diecut hearts from LOVE NOTE.  Since the front of my card is clear except for the Chevies die cuts, I spaced my sentiment where it wouldn’t show until you open the card.  To finish off the inside, I didn’t want the adhesive from the front panel Chevies to show when you opened the card so I cut several white Chevies and layered them on the back of the front panel.

Confetti Camera Inside

I must admit…  I don’t ever finish the insides of my cards.  But thinking one step further and giving the inside just a bit of attention really makes for a full finished card.

WEEK IN REVERSE

Hello and TGIF, ‘Fetti Fans!

I am definitely looking forward to this weekend!  The weather is supposed to be beautiful and I am excited to spend some quality time outside with the littles and my hubby.  I think I’ve convinced them to help me wash/clean out my car.  We’ll see if they are anywhere to be found when it comes time for that, though!

It’s a super special weekend at Reverse Confetti, too!  Sunday is our (monthly) blog hop and I promise you do not want to miss it!

FEBRUARY SKETCH FOR YOU TO TRY

Howdy ‘Fetti Fans and Happy Sunday!

Yes, I’m blogging on a Sunday.  That means that something fun and exciting is happening over here!  It’s time for a new SKETCH FOR YOU TO TRY!

Here’s this month’s sketch…

SFYTT21_Feb15

. . . . .

Here are all the details you need to know…

Before I get to all the wonderful inspiration that the Confetti Crew came up with using this sketch, let’s go over the details…

There will be a new sketch posted on the Reverse Confetti blog on the 1st of each month.

The sketch link list will be open from the 1st until noon CST on the 27th. The SFYTT button is  posted on the sidebar.  Click on it to be taken to the current SFYTT post and link list.

Reverse Confetti stamps and/or Confetti Cuts are required to win.  This is a way we get to thank our customers for using our stamps.  Anyone is welcome to play, though!

You may enter as many times as you wish.

There will be a winner each month and that person will receive a $20 gift certificate to the Reverse Confetti store and claim the title of ‘Fetti Fave. The winner of SFYTT will be posted on the Reverse Confetti blog on the 28th of this month.

. . . . .

Here’s my take on the sketch using DONUT YOU KNOW and DONUT YOU KNOW Confetti Cuts on the focal panel…

SFYTT1

In addition to the DONUT YOU KNOW stamps and Confetti Cuts dies, I also used the DOUBLE EDGE SCALLOP BORDER Confetti Cuts die along the left side of the red chevron panel and the flag ended banner from the TAG ME Confetti Cuts die set on the two flag ended banners hanging from the top.

Detail shot of the card, along with the icing and sprinkles…

SFYTT12

To get the glazed looked on the icing, I used Ranger Enamel Accents and then added glass glitter and sprinkles (cut from the DONUT YOU KNOW Confetti Cuts dies).

SFYTT13

. . . . .

Of course, the Confetti Crew has some wonderful inspiration using this sketch, too!

CONFETTI CAMERA

TGI {almost} F, ‘Fetti Fans!

I had so much fun creating yesterday and will have lots to share in the weeks to come.  If you follow Reverse Confetti on Instagram, you saw live shots as it was happening.  Don’t follow us on Instagram?…we sure wish you would!  We’re just now getting active with it (a little behind the times, huh?), but you’ll see sneak peeks of projects, and product, along with day to day activities from yours truly.

{click on camera to go to Reverse Confetti’s Instagram page and follow us!}

. . . . .

Now for a little camera I created myself…

ConfettiCameraRCblog

Yep, it’s Thursday and time for CONFETTI CAMERA! {yay}

In this weekly segment, one of the Confetti Crew designers will have the camera on both themselves, as a designer, and on their Reverse Confetti creations. For this round, you’ll get a dose of Reverse Confetti inspiration from cards completed inside and out from each of our designers. A couple of things to note:

On camera today is the very talented, JEAN MANIS

JeanIntroPic

Hello, Fetti’ Fans! It’s Jean Manis bringing you this week’s Confetti Camera Challenge. I’m sharing a card created with the Here We Go stamp set and its coordinating Confetti Cuts for the In and Out theme. As the mother of two boys, I have always been on the lookout for cards featuring forms of transportation. To connect the outside and inside of the card, I created an air scene on the front and a below-the-water scene on the inside.

ConfettiCamera-Outside-JM

Confetti-Camera-JM

The Lots to Say sentiment set has the fun “Just a Note to Say…” sentiment, which I used for the outside, leading the recipient to open up the card to the “Happy Birthday.” In both cases, the sentiments were heat-embossed.

ConfettiCamera-Inside-JM

I used the Oh My Stars Confetti Cuts set to create the big star and the Stars Pretty Panels Confetti Cuts to create some small stars. I wanted to tie the outside in with the yellow submarine on the inside. I also wanted some color above the dark blue sea to set off the “Happy Birthday” sentiment.

The card base is a light blue. With the Double Edge Scallop Border I cut darker blue cardstock to resemble ocean waves.

Both the airplane and the submarine were attached to the card with dimensional adhesive for some depth.
