Hello, ‘Fetti Fans and welcome to DAY ONE of the COUNTDOWN TO CONFETTI!

This month we are releasing 4 new stamp sets, 7 new Confetti Cuts die sets, a new color of twine and a brand new set of *limited edition* Quick Card Panels (these are some of my favorites yet!).  All of the new product will be available for purchase at midnight EST on June 8th.  Until then, we’ll be celebrating the new release with product reveals, project ideas and chances to win!

Here’s our agenda for the next few days…

. . . . .

Don’t forget to leave a comment here and on each sneak peek post this week for a chance to win!

In addition to having a chance to win just by leaving a comment on the sneak peek posts, we are also running a Facebook promotion.  After you are done checking out the sneak peeks, head on over to OUR FACEBOOK PAGE and look for this graphic pinned to the top of our feed (beginning at 9am EST today)…

On Facebook, simply leave a comment under the graphic.  One person that comments on the graphic by 1pm EST on June 7th will be randomly chosen to win a $15 gift certificate to the Reverse Confetti store.  Winners for both the blog comments and Facebook comments will be announced here on the Reverse Confetti blog as well as on Facebook.

. . . . .

Let’s get this party started!

You know the drill…

Grab that cuppa, sit back and enjoy the Confetti Creativity we have for you today!

First up on our introductions is the new QUICK CARD PANELS, and I have to say that these designs are definitely some of my favorites and I know that they will go quick!

QUICK CARD PANELS are limited edition premium heavyweight cardstock panels measuring 3.25″ x 4.5″.  Each package contains 2 of each 8 printed design.  They are designed for A2 card making, but you can easily use them on all of your paper crafting projects!  We will have a new set of QUICK CARD PANELS with each release. Grab them while you can, because once they’re gone, they’re gone!

You’ll see the new limited edition QUICK CARD PANELS used on a variety of projects from the Confetti Crew.  We can’t wait to see how you will use them on your creations!

A little while back, I had a conversation with one of our Confetti Crew design team members and she (ahem) begged that we bring back the HAPPY HARBOR stamp set that we released in our very first release.  While I didn’t have plans to bring back that particular set, it did motivate me to further develop the sentiments and images to complete the nautical set that had been haunting my sketchbook for sometime.  With that little boost of motivation, we were able to create the new nautical themed stamp set to the Reverse Confetti line of stamps…

Coordinating Confetti Cuts die set…

My first project today features both the new By the Side QUICK CARD PANELS and the new SEASIDE stamps and Confetti Cuts die in a sweet lil’ shaker card…

I created the shaker box using the SHAKERS ‘N FRAMES Confetti Cuts die set.  I cut the outside square from the new By the Sea QUICK CARD PANELS and layered the whale from the SEASIDE stamp set on top.  The gray layer under the shaker is cut with the wavy edge from the EDGE ESSENTIALS Confetti Cuts die set and the “Whale Done” sentiment is stamp in the lower right corner, as you can see.

Inside the shaker, I added the anchor from the SEASIDE Confetti Cuts die set along with some various shaped and colored sequins.

On the top right corner of the shaker, I added a little flag adorned with 2 more new products…

. . . . .

Before I get to my next project to share with you today (and there are still several more), I want to introduce you to 2 more new Confetti Cuts die that we will be releasing on June 2nd…

This Confetti Cuts die is designed to work with the TOPPED OFF TAG Confetti Cuts die set.

. . . . .

This next project features many Reverse Confetti products, both part of the June 8th release and previously released.

The base of this tag is the TOPPED OFF TAG Confetti Cuts die set cut from watercolored paper and topped with the new SCALLOPED TAG LAYER Confetti Cuts die.  The dark coral hanger is cut from the HANG UPS Confetti Cuts die set…and I have to admit that piece almost didn’t make it on there.  I was staring at this tag thinking that it needed *something* and I tried this and I tried that it nothing was coming together and then I saw a scrap of this paper and I knew just what to do!

The focal image is a trio of the new SAND DOLLAR Confetti Cuts (edges very lightly sponged to create added depth), the anchor from the new SEASIDE Confetti Cuts die set and the “You Anchor Me” sentiment from the SEASIDE stamp set (heat embossed in clear)…

I really do love how this tag came together!

. . . . .

I have one more project using this stamp and Confetti Cuts die set and another introduction, too!

. . . . .

This next project features the new SUNBURST COVER PANEL with a few of the other new products that I have introduced thus far.

As you can probably see, this kinda started out as a tag with the new SCALLOPED TAG LAYER Confetti Cuts die on top of the TOPPED OFF TAG Confetti Cuts die set.

I wanted to do something “more” with the tag, but hadn’t decided on a direction to take with it and then it occurred to me that there is nothing stopping me from adding this darling birthday tag to a card!

So, I layered the SUNBURST COVER PANEL Confetti Cuts in white on top of a white card base.  I love the look of the white on white here, as there is a lot of texture, but it does not distract or take away from the tag that already has a lot going on.

To create the scene on the tag, I stamped the “Snappy Birthday” sentiment on a piece of kraft cardstock and tore across the top to create the “sand.”  The cute lil’ crab is popped up on a pop dot on top of the sand for added dimension.

The top part of the tag features cuts from the SUN ‘N CLOUDS Confetti Cuts die set (previously released).  As a finishing touch, I added the aqua button tied off with the KRAFT TWINE.

. . . . .

Can you believe it?  I still have a couple more introductions for you today!

And, the coordinating Confetti Cuts die set…

Mermaids are quite on trend right now, which is really quite a coincidence.  I have had a mermaid on “my list” now for quite sometime and it fit in perfectly with this month’s release.  I like when it’s organic like that!

. . . . .

My first card using the MERMAID KISSES stamps and Confetti Cuts, also features some of the previously released Reverse Confetti products that I keep close on my desk…PERFECTLY PAISLEY Confetti Cuts die set and WHOLE LOTTA DOTS.

I had a lot of fun creating this scene!  The “splash” is created with the PERFECTLY PAISLEY Confetti Cuts die set.  I used 3 different sizes to cut out the splash on the front of the card and then backed the negative cut with sparkly white tulle and aqua paper.

The bottom portion of the card is stamped with the leaves/coral from the MERMAID KISSES stamp set and then a layer kraft cardstock stamped with the small dots from the WHOLE LOTTA DOTS stamp set is adhered on top.  I added a couple of shells for dimension and texture to the scene.

Both the mermaid and her jellyfish friend are popped up with dimesional adhesive.  I added some Stickles to the mermaid tale for the perfect amount of bling (along with the trio of clear sequins)!

. . . . .

Before I get to my next card, I have one more product introduction today…

The SCALLOPED COVER PANEL Confetti Cuts die features the same scallops as the SCALLOPED TAG LAYER Confetti Cuts, but on a larger scale.

. . . . .

This next card features both the new SCALLOPED COVER PANEL Confetti Cuts die along with the new MERMAID KISSES stamps and Confetti Cuts die set…

The SCALLOPED COVER PANEL Confetti Cuts die set is cut from watercolor paper colored with blue watercolors.  I kept several of the insides of the scallops intact, as I loved the way it looked and I was able to show more of the watercolored detail by doing so.

Under the SCALLOPED COVER PANEL Confetti Cuts is a navy blue layer that is covered in “bubbles” created with a stencil and translucent embossing paste.  Can I just tell you that I LOVE how this came out!

The focal image panel is an aqua circle cut from the CIRCLES ‘N SCALLOPS Confetti Cuts die set (previously released) and topped with the mermaid from the new MERMAID KISSES Confetti Cuts die set.  The sentiment is stamped on the banner from the FLOWERS FOR MOM Confetti Cuts die set (previously released) and I added a few purple sequins and stamped/colored/cut starfish throughout the focal panel and across the card.

. . . . .

There is so much more inspiration to see using these stamps and dies that are releasing on JUNE 8th!

Check out the Confetti Crew & Friends’ posts.

Be sure to leave a comment at each stop along the way for a chance to win!

And, June ‘Fetti Friend…

Today is a fun an exciting day as we are starting a new round of Confetti Camera!

A little bit about Confetti Camera…

In this weekly (Thursday) segment, one of the Confetti Crew designers will have the camera on both themselves, as a designer, and on their Reverse Confetti creations.

For this round each of our designers are working on Celebrations!  However, there is a little something different…I have challenged them to forego birthdays and to “think outside the card.”  I think you are going to LOVE what you see!

A couple of things to note:

1) This segment will not “air” if there is a different post scheduled for that day, such as Sketch for You to Try on the 1st of each month or on a hop or sneak peek day.

2) Each designer will follow the same theme until we have featured every Confetti Crew Design Team Member (then it’s a new round with new questions/theme). To see previous Confetti Camera post, simply click on “Confetti Camera” under the categories link on our sidebar.

. . . . .

In the spotlight today is the wonderfully talented, SUSAN LILES…

Hi there, ‘Fetti Fans!  Today we are kicking off our first new Confetti Camera theme of 2016.  This time, the Confetti Crew will be working with the theme, “CELEBRATE GOOD TIMES”.  However, to make it a little more interesting, we are making the birthday theme off-limits, to help everyone think outside the box.  The celebrations can be “normal” stuff like wedding, baby shower, housewarming, etc., but you might also see things created for those wacky holidays like “National Donut Day, National Pie Day”, etc. throughout the coming months.  Sound like fun?  Here’s what I did:

My daughter, Audrie and I started brainstorming “other” celebrations and although today is National Kazoo Day (lol), we both decided on an “Championship Soccer Celebration” theme.  So of course, I had to use her team’s name and colors (Explosion FC and the pink/black color combo), hoping this will bring them good luck in their indoor soccer league championship game coming up!

I started by gathering my supplies, cardstock and paper, knowing I wanted to make a little table decoration, water bottle, and Frosted Pillow Box party favor.  The tag card actually came later from my leftover scraps that I had already stamped and cut, so this will be a sweet card to give to our amazing coach!

I stamped and die cut different elements that I thought would make for a good soccer theme, mostly using the WINNING stamp set and WINNING Confetti Cuts.  I used my Silhouette to quickly cut and make the soccer ball, and then just started putting things together and embellishing. The table decoration is just a round container wrapped in paper and the sticks are just straws.  Once again, having a premade “stash” of elements right at my fingertips made this project move along so quickly.  Any of these pieces to my ensemble would be very easy to recreate.

Hello ‘Fetti Fans and Happy Wednesday!

Today, we have a special WEDNESDAY IN THE WORKS brought to you by Confetti Crew Member, Amy Sheffer.

What is Wednesday in the Works?

It’s not really about one thing in particular, but rather “the works” of a stamped card or project.  It’s us taking a closer look at how something is created, etc.  A variety of topics will be covered in this segment… from color combos to shaped cards to inspiration pieces to mixing and matching stamps and/or papers…and everything in between.

Hi ‘Fetti Fans, it’s Amy here with a fun peek-a-boo tag for today’s Wednesday in the Works.

I started by filling a Frosted Pillow Box with some candy, then added a pretty tag that I die-cut with the Thanks Tag Confetti Cuts. Because the tag is nearly as large as the box, I decided to cut a window into the tag so that the contents would show through. Here’s what I did:

  1. Die-cut two tags using the Thanks Tag die, one from patterned paper and one from acetate.

  1. Die-cut one Globe from white card stock.

  1. Use the Globe die to cut a circle window in the patterned paper tag.

  1. In-lay the white Globe into the circle window and adhere, using the acetate Thanks Tag die-cut as a backer.

  1. Add a Hang Ups tag topper using a coordinating piece of patterned paper and a metallic gold grommet die-cut.

  1. Embellish with Leafy die-cuts and a metallic gold Lovey Words sentiment.

  1. I wrapped my Pillow Box with a coordinating patterned paper, making sure to cut a Globe opening in it as well.

  1. Note: the 6×6 patterned paper is just a smidge short to fully wrap the pillow box, so I just added some sparkly gold washi tape at the seam to hide the gap.

Thanks for joining me for this week’s Wednesday in the Works!

Hello, ‘Fetti Fans and Happy Wednesday!

It’s Wednesday and time for WEDNESDAY IN THE WORKS!

What is WEDNESDAY IN THE WORKS exactly?…

It’s not really about one thing in particular, but rather “the works” of a stamped card or project.  It’s us taking a closer look at how something is created, etc.  A variety of topics will be covered in this segment… from color combos to shaped cards to inspiration pieces to mixing and matching stamps and/or papers…and everything in between. Today, Confetti Crew member, Amy Sheffer, shares a fun technique with wow factor!

Hi ‘Fetti Fans, Amy here today, with an easy masking technique that gives a fun “how’d she do that?” look.

I’ve used the technique to stamp the ornament on today’s tag. The basic steps are to first die-cut a shape, then, using the negative of the die-cut as a mask, repeatedly stamp a sentiment (or small image) to fill the unmasked area.

First, I die-cut a Gift Card Holder Tag in white card stock along with a second Gift Card Holder Tag from recycled copy paper (this will be the mask, you could also use masking paper). Within the copy paper die-cut, I’ve cut out a large circle using one the dies in the Circles ‘N Scallops die set.

I used a bit of washi to adhere the copy paper tag mask to the card stock tag, then repeatedly stamped the word “Christmas” from Winter Word Coordinates in light grey ink. Before removing the mask, I used a sponge dauber to apply some soft gray shadowing around the outer part of the circle. Remove the mask to reveal your stamped and sponged ornament.

I embellished the bottom of the tag with some black and white striped paper, adorned the ornament with some holly and felt berries (both from the Holly Confetti Cuts die set) as well as a “merry” die-cut (from Winter Words Confetti Cuts), then finished with a Hang Ups tag topper, some Honeydew twine, and some gold sequins.
